about our training
Ara Pilates + Movement Teacher Training Programs offer comprehensive Pilates certification, taught through a contemporary lens. The credential from any of our three programs will allow you to enter the fitness and wellness world as a confident movement leader with the skills required to effectively teach, cue, and guide clients to better understand their bodies. In these three courses, we explore not only the history and root of where each Pilates exercise came from, but also provide an essential expanded view of how the equipment and Pilates are being used in the fitness world today. Our programs have a limited capacity to ensure we are able to give each individual the proper support, mentorship, and attention.

70hrs of in-person education
Together, we'll cover basic anatomy, Pilates principles & theory, Reformer fundamentals, core Reformer exercises, Reformer progressions, programming, modifications, cueing & presence, developing your personal voice/brand, and the application of Pilates in a modern world
65 hrs teaching practice
Post-program, you'll start to practice your teaching skills by setting up sessions with friends, family, or fellow training program students
60 hrs personal practice
Before, during, and post-program, you'll be taking classes (in-person or virtually) to continue to hone your own body awareness and deepen your own practice
*all TT program students get access to $15 Reformer classes @ ara and a year free access to the ara movement
40 hrs observation
Post-program, you'll watch classes (in-person or virtually) to be able to see the lessons you've learned put into practice
5hrs private instruction
During or post-program, you'll book 5 private sessions to continue to understand your unique practice
*all TT program students get access to five discounted $75 private sessions

WHAT ARE THE INSTALLMENT OPTIONS?
after paying the $500 initial non refundable deposit, your remaining balance can be paid in full or broken down into installments
$2999 ($500 deposit + $416/monthly for 6 months)
$5999 ($500 deposit + $458/monthly for 12 months)
WHEN DO I RECEIVE MY CERTIFICATION?
You'll receive your certificate at the completion of your program hours (240hrs or 500hrs) and after you take your final exams - 1 teaching test as well as an anatomy exam. Exams will be scheduled individually upon the completion of your hours (most complete their certification within 1 year, but you can take longer or shorter depending on your individual pace!)
